A healthy baby does not erase your experience. Postpartum is not just the period after birth; it is the beginning of recovery, integration, identity change, feeding, bonding, nervous-system adjustment and life with a new baby.
I do not want you or your baby to get lost in the space after birth.
We prepare intensely for birth, and then too often expect the body, the relationship and the nervous system to simply figure out the weeks that follow. Six weeks is not a magic reset. Bonding is not always instant. Recovery is not linear.
Postpartum care can include physical recovery, processing the birth, BodyTalk for mother and baby, movement and rebuilding capacity, feeding and sleep support, and creating a plan that reflects what this family actually needs.
Integration is not about deciding that everything that happened was okay. It is about helping the experience become part of your story without having to keep reliving it.
A birth debrief gives you space to make sense of what happened, what you understood at the time, what your body remembers, where you felt powerful, where you felt abandoned or overwhelmed, and what still feels unfinished.
This can matter after an obviously traumatic birth, but it can also matter after a birth that looked completely fine from the outside.
Postpartum BodyTalk can explore the physical, emotional and relational layers that are showing up after birth. Sessions may be for you, your baby, or both, depending on what the biofeedback process directs us toward.
For the mother, that may include the experience of labour and birth, recovery, identity, overwhelm, grief, fear, feeding, sleep deprivation or the sense that your body has become unfamiliar.
For baby, the session may follow patterns connected with transition, feeding, sleep, regulation, connection or the birth experience itself. This is not medical assessment and does not replace paediatric or postpartum care.
You can be grateful your baby is here and still need to process what happened. You can love your baby and still feel disconnected from yourself. You can have had the birth you wanted and still find postpartum harder than you expected.
For making sense of the birth, processing what still feels active, and helping the experience become part of your story without continuing to dominate it.
Individual BodyTalk support for mother, baby or the family system as postpartum patterns, recovery and regulation unfold.
Movement-based support for rebuilding strength, mobility and capacity around the body you actually have after pregnancy and birth. Recovery is not about bouncing back.
Families may also come for baby and family BodyTalk, infant sleep foundations, feeding-related support within my scope, or simply because something about the transition feels harder than expected.
You do not need to wait until something is unbearable before asking for support.
This work does not diagnose postpartum complications, treat medical or psychiatric conditions, replace pelvic-floor physiotherapy, lactation care, midwifery, medicine or psychotherapy, or guarantee a particular recovery.
If something falls outside my scope, I want you connected with the right professional while I continue supporting the parts of the experience that are within mine.
Whether you need to process the birth, support your recovery, work with your baby, or simply find your footing in the transition, we can start with what is showing up now.
